Adventurous Sea-to-Sky Engagement Session
We spent a Friday night with Ryan and Mishka this past summer pretty much living the west coast dream.
When we were brainstorming ideas of where we should take their engagement photos, they had a great suggestion of doing things that they would normally do on a beautiful summer evening, in places they would typically explore on a weekend. So we set our sights on two quiet beaches along the sea-to-sky highway that spans between Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler, and brought some whiskey, oysters and sparkling wine along!
To make the evening that much more picture perfect, Ryan and Mishka built a great beach fire which we all sat around for hours after the sun went down.
A great source of inspiration when planning your engagement or couples photography session is to keep things authentic, and plan around an activity or location that has meaning to you both. By doing this, you'll feel that much more at ease while being photographed - AND - when your friends and family see the photos (now and in the future), they will see a really true representation of who you are as a couple. We absolutely love learning about our couples hobbies and interests, and feel so lucky to be able to tag along!
We had such a fun time with Ryan and Mishka sitting around the campfire and learning to shuck oysters properly (thanks for teaching us, guys!), and are so happy to finally share the images from this night with you!
