Autumn Wedding at The Permanent in Vancouver
There are some weddings that just end up feeling extremely intimate, regardless of the number of guests in the room. This was the case for us with Ross and Peri's beautiful wedding, which we photographed this past October.
Ross and Peri chose a super unique venue for their big day - The Permanent - which is located in downtown Vancouver, and is a stunning 1906 heritage building that has been preserved and restored to it's former glory in the past few years.
Although this space can hold quite a few guests, their wedding day felt so special and personal from start to finish. We love how they planned an evening ceremony, which led right into a celebratory cocktail hour, and was followed by dinner and dancing. The celebration never had to take a pause for portraits, as we got all the family and portraits of the Bride and Groom out of the way before the ceremony even began. It was so perfect!
One super creative component of their day was a black and white film of Downtown Vancouver from 1907 that was showing on the wall of the venue via a massive projector. It was so fun for guests to watch as they sipped on cocktails and enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres, and really added to the historical ambiance of the event! Later in the evening, they changed the projections to a super fun playlist of vintage black and white dancing clips (Marilyn Monroe era).
A list of all the amazing vendors we worked with at this wedding can be found at the bottom of this blog post. Enjoy!
